Specialist schools and campuses are encouraged to publish advice about any school-specific enrolment timelines on their school website, with reference to Enrolment in specialist schools and other specialist education settings. A factsheet and poster, providing a summary of the Foundation (Prep) enrolment process for the 2027 school year, are available. The timeline includes key dates, activity descriptions and an overview of responsibilities to help schools plan for their Foundation enrolments. All Victorian government primary schools are required to implement the timeline in 2026 to support Foundation enrolments for the 2027 school year. We have released the Foundation enrolment timeline for all Victorian government primary schools to follow (see page 3). The timeline aims to help you understand when and how to enrol your child into Foundation for the 2025 school year. Guide to entry scores for Australian or overseas qualifications equivalent to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE).
